Hi, I’m Vy, a UX/UI design student building calm, task-first digital products.
UX/UI · Information hierarchy · Prototyping
Why me
I design UX/UI for web and mobile products. My strengths are information architecture, layout, and reducing cognitive load so the next step is obvious. I’m especially drawn to complex government platforms, university portals, and everyday services people rely on.
Background
I started in a Design + IT double degree, which gave me exposure to coding and digital problem-solving. I realised my strengths were in communication design, product thinking, and UX/UI, so I moved into a focused Bachelor of Design. Now I focus on interaction design, UI craft, and human-centred web design.
What I Value in Design
For me, good design isn’t adding more, it’s removing confusion. I prioritise structure first, then visuals. My process is: understand the problem, define the task, map the flow, then design clear interfaces that respect the user’s time.
Tools & Skills
Figma: prototyping, components, variants, design systems
UX methods: research, synthesis, journey mapping, information architecture, usability thinking
UI craft: interaction design, visual hierarchy, typography, layout systems
Adobe: Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, InDesign, After Effects
Beyond the Screen
I value responsibility and building things that last. I avoid dark patterns and focus on products that genuinely help people and reduce frustration. Long-term, I’m working toward a grounded life centred on faith, family, and meaningful work.
